We build the platforms, sensors, and navigation systems that missions depend on — combining proven small-satellite engineering practices with a forward program in quantum sensing and navigation.
Apohele works across the stack: reliable CubeSat platforms and advanced payloads today, and the quantum inertial sensing technologies that will define resilient navigation tomorrow.
A configurable CubeSat platform, built to order.
Cubestat is a modular 4U · 6U · 12U bus for demanding payloads — with the power, subsystems, and avionics to support precision missions. Apohele distributes it and supports you from quote to delivery.
Modular bus architecture
Configurable 4U · 6U · 12U platforms with standardized mechanical, power, and data interfaces for straightforward mission integration.
Advanced payload hosting
Structures designed to carry precision optical, RF, and sensing payloads.
Power & subsystems
Solar power generation and supporting subsystems configured to each mission's needs.
Avionics & communications
Onboard computing and communications sized to support the mission and its data.
Building compact quantum inertial sensing for small spacecraft.
Q1 is Apohele's R&D platform for compact quantum inertial sensing, in active research and development. Using cold atoms and atom interferometry, Q1 aims to bring laboratory-grade inertial precision to the size, weight, and power budget of a small satellite.
Q1 is not a finished or operational product. It represents an active R&D effort, and the capabilities described here are development targets rather than delivered performance.
Potential applications
Precision acceleration sensing
Cold-atom accelerometry targeting bias stability well beyond conventional MEMS and classical inertial sensors.
Inertial navigation
GNSS-independent navigation for environments where satellite signals are degraded, denied, or unavailable.
Gravity sensing
Sensitive gravimetry and gradiometry for geophysical mapping and resource and subsurface characterization.
Atmospheric drag measurement
Direct measurement of non-gravitational forces to improve orbit determination in very low Earth orbit.
Building the next generation of missions, together
We are building partnerships with research institutions, space organizations, and commercial teams to advance spacecraft platforms and quantum sensing from concept to flight.
Space organizations
Working toward mission partnerships, technology demonstrations, and payload hosting with civil and national space programs.
Research institutions
